Our History

The Great Lakes Culinary Center, this is a state-of- the-art test kitchen and events venue in Southfield, Michigan. This space was designed to allow chefs to come into the space, entertain guests while using the latest and greatest equipment to. Now, it has exploded into one of the one of the best Metro-Detroit venues to host an event. It offers food-service professionals—and the Detroit community—the opportunity to test the latest kitchen equipment, attend cooking classes or demonstrations, and host private events. It is a unique, flexible event space capable of hosting a variety of events. The most common events the Culinary Center hosts are wedding receptions, birthday parties, corporate luncheons, holiday parties and team building cooking events.

Our Vision

Great Lakes Culinary Center, is a state of the art singular rental space. Meaning, when a client rents the space, the space is all theirs. No battling DJ’s or backed up kitchens. This is an event space that has an open kitchen concept that allows chefs and guests to display food as an art. At the Culinary Center, food is not meant only to be consumed, it is meant to be enjoyed. From the plate, to presentation and lastly taste, guests get a full dining experience you would only find in a five-star restaurant.

Our Event Coordinators and Executive Chef, work together to create party and experience for our clients. We continually work together to make the space better when it comes to service, communication and event planning ease. The Culinary Center is a versatile space, allowing anyone to create the perfect event. No event is similar in the Culinary Center, individual personalities can be expressed and thoroughly enjoyed.
