Our History
The Great Lakes Culinary Center, this is a state-of- the-art test kitchen and events venue in Southfield, Michigan. This space was designed to allow chefs to come into the space, entertain guests while using the latest and greatest equipment to. Now, it has exploded into one of the one of the best Metro-Detroit venues to host an event. It offers food-service professionals—and the Detroit community—the opportunity to test the latest kitchen equipment, attend cooking classes or demonstrations, and host private events. It is a unique, flexible event space capable of hosting a variety of events. The most common events the Culinary Center hosts are wedding receptions, birthday parties, corporate luncheons, holiday parties and team building cooking events.
In 2021 Great Lakes partnered with Two Unique Catering & Event Planners to run day-to-day operations and continue the tradition of providing unforgettable one of a kind events for all of our guests.
Our Vision
Great Lakes Culinary Center is a state-of-the-art singular event rental space. The outdoor garden & patio space plus the open kitchen concept immerse guests into every occasion, and the beautiful structure lends itself to a myriad of different decors for any event theme.
